I chose WVU because it immediately felt like home, something I was looking for, especially as an international student. I loved the strong sense of community, the support students get from the amazing faculty, and the opportunities available in research and health sciences. WVU offered the environment where I knew I could grow academically and personally.
What is your favorite Mountaineer memory?
| My favorite mountaineer memory is the day I received my researcher badge at Ruby Memorial Hospital. It was the moment I truly felt connected to WVU's medical community and saw myself growing in the career I have always dreamed of. Why did you want to become a PSA? I wanted to become a PSA to represent a university I genuinely love and to help future Mountaineers feel welcomed and supported. WVU has given me so much, and I wanted to give back by serving students and sharing the pride I have in this community. What did you learn from the PSA experience? I learned to always trust my gut and to listen to trusted advisors. I had originally debated being part of this program because I had such a busy schedule. It was my pre-health advisor who was adamant about me joining. I can't thank her enough for it because, even then, I had a slight feeling that I wouldn't be the same after this program. I can't recommend it enough! |
