    WHY DID YOU CHOOSE WVU?

Initially, I was drawn to WVU because of the forensics program. Although my aspirations changed and I decided to major in accounting instead, I still enjoyed the feel of the campus, how welcoming the students and staff were, and the program opportunities. Coming in with 33 AP and dual-enrollment credits, I'm especially grateful for the help I've received from the advising department in regards to my 3+1. I'm also grateful for the scholarships I've been awarded, which have made WVU affordable for me despite being an out-of-state student.

    WHY DID YOU CHOOSE WVU?

My uncle and aunt both attended West Virginia University and were major contributors to the student climate at the university, both as students and as a faculty. My uncle was Student Body President, President of his fraternity, and elected Vice President of Institutional Advancement by President E. Gordon Gee. My aunt was the Assistant Dean of Career Services at the Law School. I loved hearing my family talk about their experience at the university and the amazing opportunities here. So, when it came time to choose a college, the choice was pretty easy.

Why did you choose WVU when selecting a university?

It was love at first sight. The pristine nature, the architecture, the people, and the traditions are all amazing. There is always something to do in Morgantown, but it doesn't suffer from the busyness of bigger cities. You can take things at your own pace, and there is something for everyone. The academic opportunities are also vast, and WVU will help you achieve anything you set your mind to. This place just felt like home, and coming here was one of the best decisions I've ever made.

    WHY DID YOU CHOOSE WVU?

I chose WVU because it is one of the only Universities in the country that offer the 2+2 track for a medical laboratory sciences major as well as a graduate program for Pathology Assistants. Additionally, WVU has given me so many opportunities to flourish as a student and a professional.

    WHY DID YOU CHOOSE WVU?

My family has deep roots in West Virginia, so, when looking for higher education, I only considered West Virginia University. Both of my parents and my sister are Alumni, so I knew that WVU would provide me with an environment where I could grow and develop as an individual, scholar, and leader. WVU has afforded me with so many opportunities I would not have received at other institutions, and, because of this, I am grateful I chose to be a Mountaineer.

    WHY DID YOU CHOOSE WVU?

When I attended an on-campus event the Spring before my freshman year, I was given an opportunity to meet students and faculty from my major. They gave me insight into what my undergraduate experience would be like at WVU and told me of all the opportunities that would be available to me. It was such a welcoming and personalized experience and made me realize there is a place for me here. I am glad I chose a university that provides me with an opportunity to support the state I grew up in and opportunities to elevate my educational experience.

    WHY DID YOU CHOOSE WVU?

My family has been dedicated to WVU since 1976. My dad graduated in 1980 and all of my siblings on my mom's side of the family went to WVU. I saw how connected the community is and how many resources are provided for their students, and I knew I wanted to be a Mountaineer.

    WHY DID YOU CHOOSE WVU?

I chose WVU because it felt like a second home when I toured campus. I had been coming to football games ever since I was two months old and already knew I loved the sports atmosphere. When I toured campus, it was so welcoming and I knew WVU would be the perfect fit for me.

    WHY DID YOU CHOOSE WVU?

I chose to attend WVU because of its large selection of courses and majors. WVU has allowed me to pursue two entirely different courses of study: Political Science and Music. I feel fortunate to be able to enjoy both of these disciplines rather than having to choose between them. When I visited Morgantown my freshman year of high school, I participated in the WVU High School Honor Orchestra, a conference that brought student musicians from all over the state together to study under College of Creative Arts faculty for a weekend. I immediately fell in love with the welcoming atmosphere of the CAC and the talented faculty, and I knew I wanted to call WVU home.
