Cohort 15 Learns about the Carruth Center, Purpose Center, and iServe

During the month of February, Presidential Student Ambassadors received a wealth of information to aid in their leadership preparation.  Speakers included (1) Sara DiSimone, Carruth Center Assistant Director of Outreach and Campus Engagement, (2) Cate Schlobohm, Director of the WVU Purpose Center, and (3) Aerianna McClanahan, Program Manager for Community Engaged Learning.

Emphasizing the importance of well-being, Sara reminded them that college is both exciting and stressful.

Cate Schlobohm, Purpose Center
Cate distributed a summary of Cohort 15's Clifton Strengths, which focuses on strengths related to how one thinks, feels, and behaves. 

Aerianna McClanahan, iServe
Aerianna McClanahan described the importance of community engagement and demonstrated using iServe.  All PSAs must have forty service hours during the semester in order to become Certified Student Leaders, awarded by WVU Student Engagement and Leadership at the conclusion of the class.
