    Why did you choose WVU?

I was born and raised in Weirton, West Virginia and have visited WVU countless times during my youth. Whether it was attending the HOBY Youth Leadership Conference on campus, coming down for various athletic events, or just visiting older friends on campus, WVU has always felt like home. Additionally, I chose West Virginia University because I knew I would be challenged academically and be given the opportunity to get involved in a wide variety of extracurricular activities across campus, all while being able to represent my home state.Enter a brief description of the person. In search of the perfect school, I originally applied to many different universities. From a young age, West Virginia University has been on my radar. As soon as I stepped foot on campus, I felt something I hadn't felt on any other university's campus: I was home. The people at West Virginia University are unlike any I met on any other college campus. The people of West Virginia are welcoming, kind and helpful. No matter what you are going through, you will always have fellow Mountaineers to lean on. In addition to its outstanding community, West Virginia University provides so many opportunities for students to find where they belong. Looking back, I couldn't be happier with my decision.
