Cohort 15 had the pleasure of having lunch with President Michael Taft Benson in the Stewart Hall President's Conference Room in early January. Reminding the PSAs that West Virginia entered the Union on June 20, 1863, he directed their attention to the 35‑star flag displayed on the wall, which became the official U.S. flag on July 4, 1863. In addition, Also on the wall, he added a framed photo of General Dwight D. Eisenhower and a copy of his June 5, 1944 memo, in which he accepted full responsibility should the D-Day Invasion fail. President Benson reminded the students that a strong leader accepts responsibility.
