I wanted to easily affiliate myself with other people from different backgrounds while also working my way towards obtaining a degree from a well-respected university. WVU has given me the resources to get a great start on my college career. I wanted to be in an environment where I’m surrounded by students and professors that would be willing to help me with any obstacle I face.
What is your favorite Mountaineer memory?
I really enjoyed attending the WVU vs. VT football game during the Fall 2021 semester. The game was lively, the adrenaline was there, and I was with friends. I mostly loved when the WVU football team came out victorious, we all sang “Country Roads” as one Mountaineer family.
Why did you want to become a PSA?
I want to continue to progress on my leadership skills. With all that I have learned in the past regarding becoming a leader, all my friends back home that needed my help, and looking towards what I want to be in the future, I believe this opportunity will help me to build on my foundation in becoming a sufficient leader for everyone.
What did you learn from the PSA experience?
I learned the main functions to public speaking and personal development. I also was provided the opportunity of listening to other viewpoints that I have never viewed and understand the foundations of why people are who they are. In addition, listening to leaders on their approach to leadership and how people can make a difference instead of just making a name for themselves.
