WHY DID YOU CHOOSE WVU?

I chose to attend WVU because of its large selection of courses and majors. WVU has allowed me to pursue two entirely different courses of study: Political Science and Music. I feel fortunate to be able to enjoy both of these disciplines rather than having to choose between them. When I visited Morgantown my freshman year of high school, I participated in the WVU High School Honor Orchestra, a conference that brought student musicians from all over the state together to study under College of Creative Arts faculty for a weekend. I immediately fell in love with the welcoming atmosphere of the CAC and the talented faculty, and I knew I wanted to call WVU home.

What is your favorite Mountaineer memory?

My favorite Mountaineer memory was going on the field of Milan Puskar Stadium with my sister during the 2023 Diversity Week celebration. While it was cold and rainy, nothing could take away from the sense of pride and honor I felt being part of the minority population of Asians at WVU.

Why did you want to become a PSA?

I want to become a PSA to serve as a voice for minorities at WVU and provide an open line of communication between my peers and the administration. Presidential Student Ambassadors have a unique opportunity to enact change within the university, and I am proud to represent such a passionate student body. In addition to this, I want to bring awareness to university resources and urge my peers to use them to their benefit. As a PSA, it is an honor to uphold the mission and values of West Virginia University.
