Why did you choose WVU?
I chose WVU because it has always been my home. As a 3rd generation Mountaineer, and 18th member of my family to attend WVU, I have never found a place that makes me feel more connected to tradition, excellence, and my family. I was born a Mountaineer and will always be a Mountaineer.
What is your favorite Mountaineer memory?
My favorite WVU memory was giving my TEDx talk in the spring of my freshman year. It was such a fulfilling experience to be able to share my passions in front of complete strangers and the people I love most.
Why did you want to become a PSA?
I wanted to become a PSA because I have always been fascinated by leadership and how to become a better leader. One day I hope to become a Superintendent of Schools, so I am using every opportunity I can to learn how to become a great leader.
What did
you learn from the PSA experience?
After serving as a PSA for a semester I have learned a lot
of valuable information. However, the biggest piece of information I took away from the experience
is that leadership is fluid. Leaders come and go, they change based upon the situation at hand,
and leaders can always become better. Learning from leaders around the Morgantown area
that anyone can be a leader, is one of the most influential experiences I have
gained. I am so honored to be a part of the PSA program.
