WHY DID YOU CHOOSE WVU?

I come from a family full of former Mountaineers, so I grew up going to WVU games and taking day trips to Morgantown to see the places my parents met. I was always very excited to know that eventually I would be able to attend WVU. After my first campus tour, I realized that WVU really was the school for me due to the great opportunities that students are presented with and the sense of community that this campus is surrounded with.

  • What is the BEST reason to attend WVU?

The best reason to attend WVU is the endless amount of opportunities offered to students. With almost 500 student organizations, over 130 majors, and WVU’s status as an R1 Research Institution, there are many opportunities for students in any discipline.

  • What is your favorite Mountaineer memory?

My favorite memory here at WVU was the Welcome Week Adventure Activity. During my first week of school, I was able to go White Water Rafting at Ohiopyle State Park with about 50 other WVU students, and we all had a great time and became good friends.

  • Why did you want to become a PSA?

I have always been extremely excited to attend WVU, and the opportunity for me to encourage younger students and families to make the same decision to attend WVU was a new and exciting journey for me. I was also excited to have the opportunity to grow as a leader and become better at public speaking.

  • What did you learn from the PSA experience?

The PSA experience helped me to grow as a leader and become more involved with my community through service. Throughout the semester, I was able to talk to some really inspiring leaders from the Morgantown community and learned many great ways to become an effective and quality leader. I also had a great experience participating in the community service and progressed as a speaker throughout the semester as well.
