Growing up, I went to West Virginia University football games in the fall and basketball games in the spring. As a proud West Virginia native, I followed in my family's and friend's footsteps and chose WVU. I wanted to be connected to my West Virginia community and stay close to home among the hills. I chose WVU because I knew I could explore any course of study, be provided with all the resources to succeed, and have my friends and family there to support me.
What is your favorite Mountaineer memory?
I had an awesome freshman year going to plays, concerts, games, trying different student organizations, and even joining a sorority. To top off my freshman year I went to London with the Art History Department! During the trip I learned about museum practices by visiting museums and getting lectures with executive staff. We even had free time to roam around and explore London.
Why did you want to become a PSA?
As a PSA, I will have the opportunity to represent the University I love and give back to the community and state that have given so much to me.
What did you learn from the PSA experience?
| The Presidential Student Ambassador program has taught me about leadership, speech, and service. The experience was valuable and I was able to learn about myself and others in the process. |
