I chose WVU because it was the largest university I could attend for in-state tuition. I knew that due to the large student population there would be the most abundant academic and social activities that could better advance me as a student and a person.
What is your favorite Mountaineer memory?
| My favorite memory would have to be attending my first football game here during my freshman year. While I had been to plenty of games when I was younger, and they were always fun, there is a certain magnetism that comes alongside being at Milan Puskar as a student among peers. |
Why did you want to become a PSA?
| I wanted to become a PSA to encourage others to chase success. It has always been difficult for me to swing big, as I was often afraid I would miss. Yet, during my first year here I made every effort to attend each event, try for every position, and meet as many people as I could. I think by taking these risks, I have had some great payoffs, and I would love to share that story with others. What did you learn from the PSA experience? I think the PSA experience has taught me just how much you can learn from others. I have seriously enjoyed getting to know each and every peer in my cohort, and I am proud to be a part of such a talented and intelligent group of young people. I have always been very headstrong, and sometimes it makes me move too quickly and forget to listen to others. This experience has reiterated to me how important it is to slow down and consider others. By being attentive and diversifying your perspectives with the assistance of others, you can become a more empathetic, knowledgeable, and efficient leader. |
