WHY DID YOU CHOOSE WVU?

I chose WVU because I wanted to explore the east coast while attending a school that would provide me with an abundance of opportunities. As a west coast native, I have been able to learn about the diverse Appalachian culture, see the beautiful native plants of the state, and discover all of the exciting possibilities this school has to offer.

What is your favorite Mountaineer memory?

I had the honor of attending the Chemistry department's Bennett dinner where I was able to listen to three prestigious and fascinating chemists discuss their love of chemistry and the benefits of getting a chemistry degree. There was a Q&A before the dinner where I was able to ask about their research, interests, and reasons behind what they do. I had so much fun seeing how WVU has either developed or enhanced their love for chemistry.

Why did you want to become a PSA?

Becoming a PSA is a great way for me to become more connected to the campus and my peers. I wanted to meet other aspiring leaders and passionate Mountaineers that I could connect with in order to support each other and the campus as a whole. I am proud to be able to represent the PSAs in every activity I participate in.

What did you learn from the PSA experience?

The PSA experience has taught me how to prioritize creating a balanced schedule for academic and extracurricular activities. It has also allowed me to meet and learn about various types of people. I have learned more about WVU and the Morgantown community in my first semester of this experience than I ever thought I would.
