I chose WVU because I was interested in their engineering programs. However, I quickly found out engineering was not for me, and I switched to landscape architecture. I love my new major, and I am so happy to be in the program. I also chose WVU as I am from Morgantown. I am thankful that I can see my family and dogs often.
What is your favorite Mountaineer memory?
My favorite Mountaineer memory is attending Mountaineer Week with my family. West Virginia has so many talented artists.
Why did you want to become a PSA?
I want to connect more with my WVU community and give back. I hope to grow my public speaking abilities. I am super excited to meet new people and see where the program takes me.
What did you learn from the PSA experience?
Through the PSA program, I became more confident in my public speaking abilities. I now have
the tools to create and deliver an effective presentation. I also learned about my own
leadership style and how I can focus on leading by building relationships and serving others.
While volunteering, I practiced adaptability. The leadership presentations from guest speakers
were thought-provoking and left me feeling inspired.
