I chose WVU when selecting a university because its environment and atmosphere stood out to me. The community seemed committed to fostering the growth of future leaders of this state and this nation as a whole. I fell in love with what the Mountaineer represents and came to realize this would be the best place to cultivate my own (hopefully) bright future.
What is your favorite Mountaineer memory?
My favorite memory as a Mountaineer was definitely watching everyone and their mother come out of their homes to flood the hills with sleds during the large bout of snow we had in January 2024. It was really cool to see that (seemingly) thousands of people still crave a good time even when it is below freezing outside. A strong sense of community thrives here, whether it's rain, snow, or shine.
Why did you want to become a PSA?
I wanted to become a PSA so that I could surround myself with other people who strive to be leaders. A few brilliant peers of mine (who happen to be PSA alumni) strongly recommended I apply for this position. I aspire to learn how to effectively lead and represent my communities and promote positive change in a world where it's sometimes difficult to be optimistic.
