WHY DID I CHOOSE WVU?

WVU is a university where everyone can find their niche. You are able to seek out and pursue any of your interests. Which was super important to me when I was deciding on where to go. Being an R1 institution, there are also endless opportunities to work with faculty that are at the forefront of research in their fields. On top of the academic resources, WVU also cultivates a rich sense of community that truly unites the student body as well as the faculty.

What is your favorite Mountaineer memory?

My favorite Mountaineer memory is singing "Country Roads" after winning the Backyard Brawl last fall!  Nothing brings Mountaineers together like a good rivalry game!

Why did you want to become a PSA?

Being from Morgantown, I love having the opportunity to work within the community to make real improvements which being a PSA offers.  I've seen firsthand how student involvement strengthens and motivates those within the community.  Morgantown is a very unique college town in how supportive and centered it is around the university so I'm excited to give back and become more involved as a part of this program.

What did you learn from the PSA experience?

Through the progression of this course, I have gained experience and knowledge that have been extremely valuable to my growth as a person and leader. Dr. Atkins’ lectures and the guest speakers offered important lessons that contributed to my leadership journey. The PSA program has been invaluable and added a new dimension to my education.
