I chose to attend WVU because it provided endless opportunities outside of the classroom that excited me. I've been able to pursue my passions in research and rural health and received ample support from people all around me. When I went to decide day I could tell the staff at WVU genuinely cared about my success and wellbeing, making me instantly feel apart of the community here.

Why did you want to become a PSA?
What did you learn from the PSA experience?
The PSA program has been instrumental to not only my personal growth, but also my professional and educational growth. I learned how to be a leader and how service intertwines with that. It completely redefined to me what a great leader is. With the required service hours I learned how to be accountable and timely, which translates well beyond just the classroom and this course. Before this program I would have said that public speaking was my weakness but now I walk away confident as a speaker and in my abilities. All the skills I have acquired have shaped me further into the person I want to be and the person I am becoming.
