WHY DID YOU CHOOSE WVU?

My parents went to WVU, in fact I have a brick outside the Alumni Center stating that I was to be a future alumni. Now, I didn’t choose my college over a 20 year old brick in the ground, but it did give me the curiosity to explore WVU as an option, where I found a local and tight knit school which excels in my area of study.

What is your favorite Mountaineer memory?

Meeting The friends I made during my freshman year.

Why did you want to become a PSA?

You are the sum of the five people you spend the most time with. These people who are PSAs are goal-driven achievers, and I want to be influenced by them for my own betterment. Being a PSA allows me to discover my own skills whilst surrounding myself with like-minded individuals.

What did you learn from the PSA experience?

There are many ways to lead besides being the “Capital L Leader. ”A misconception about leadership is that you need to be the one with the plan, the one who can let everyone else know what is going on. Leadership can be a group project between multiple intelligent people giving their ideas, leadership can be leading by example through service, or even just leading by following someone else’s lead. I realize now I am always a leader to someone, no matter how small the task.
