When I was an eager high school student striving for a fulfilling and successful university journey, I sought out a school that could offer me the opportunities to reach my aspirations. Immediately after my initial campus tour, I knew West Virginia University provided the resources I needed to achieve my goals and dreams both academically and personally. I had the unique opportunity to have one-on-one discussions with faculty members in my department, and it provided me with a deep appreciation for the commitment professors and advisors demonstrate in guiding students towards their passions. This distinctive experience showcased that WVU truly embodies the sense of belonging, security, and support—a place I could truly call home.
What is your favorite Mountaineer memory?
So far, my favorite Mountaineer memory is meeting my now closest friends during my freshman year and attending WVU basketball games together. We went to almost every game and had an amazing time. My camera roll is full of cherished memories of us cheering on the Mountaineers.
Why did you want to become a PSA?
What did you learn from the PSA experience?
I've learned that there is no single path to becoming a leader, as each person brings their own passions and experiences, making their journey unique. Individuals can tap into their inner drive to create change in areas that matter most to them. Over the semester, we engaged with leaders from a wide range of fields, and while each of their journeys was different, they all shared a common foundation: a deep internal motivation to make a meaningful impact.
