Why did you choose WVU?

WVU has been part of my life since I can remember. Although my parents didn't go to WVU, I was raised as a WVU sports fan and fell in love with the gold and blue as a little girl. I couldn't imagine choosing any other school.

  • What is the BEST reason to attend WVU?
The best reason to attend WVU is because WVU isn't just a place of higher education, it really represents the state as a whole. The West Virginia pride and home-town atmosphere in a major university is something you won't find anywhere else.

  • What is your favorite Mountaineer memory?
My favorite Mountaineer memory was going to the WVU vs. Oklahoma game with my dad a few years before I came to college. Just before the game started, there was a sudden downpour of snow and the stadium went wild. I loved the atmosphere and how proud and excited people were for our team.

  • Why did you want to become a PSA?
I was slightly scared to be a PSA because I used to get nervous speaking in front of large groups of people. But, I knew I wanted to be one because I am so proud of going to WVU that I needed to face that uncomfortable feeling and be prepared to share my experience at WVU with new audiences.

  • What did you learn from the PSA experience?
Learning to be an effective communicator was the biggest part of being a PSA. Also, I learned a lot about my leadership style and what it really means to represent a group of people that is larger than myself.
