WVU made me feel welcome from the second I stepped on to campus. The community here in Morgantown is not only fiercely devoted to its school but filled with opportunity. WVU’s proximity to home, world-class education, and numerous scholarship opportunities made it a natural choice for me.
- What is the BEST reason to attend WVU?
- What is your favorite Mountaineer memory?
During my time here, my mom decided to pursue her life-long dream of going back to school for Nutrition, and at WVU no less. One of my favorite memories is that we did have two classes together and truly embodied the idea that West Virginia University will become your family. I am remarkably proud of her hard work and determination and look forward to watching her graduate.

Why did you want to become a PSA?
In my time as an Honors College Ambassador I realized I had an innate passion for mentorship. Whether it be to help a fellow Mountaineer or to speak to a potential one, talking to students through the college decision process is something I absolutely love to do.

What did you learn from the PSA experience?
The list of things I have gained from the Presidential Student Ambassador program is quite frankly, endless. I am excited to say I have gained a competency in giving speeches and doing so with personal flair and correct pronunciation of “WVU.” I can walk away being friends with the rest of my cohort who are all exceptional individuals with their own dreams, passions, and strengths. Having spoken to many university leaders, including the president of the university himself, I am confident in my abilities to make real change at WVU and to go on to lead those around me with the grace and distinction of incredible leaders before me.
