Why did you choose WVU?

As a West Virginia native with ties to the Morgantown area, WVU has always felt like home. The sense of shared purpose and passion for pursuing the common good that I felt upon coming to WVU was unlike anything that I had ever experienced. One of WVU’s great strengths is that the knowledge produced and disseminated here directly benefits the people of our state and beyond, in ways that are hard to comprehend until you’re immersed in the Mountaineer family. I wanted to help create the kinds of meaningful impacts that flourish in every facet of WVU’s culture.

What is your favorite Mountaineer memory?

All the time that I’ve spent with the friends that I’ve made since coming to WVU. The community that I’ve built around me has been invaluable throughout my college experience, and I can’t express how grateful I am for these connections that are sure to last a lifetime.

Why did you want to become a PSA?

I want to help promote WVU’s mission to the best of my ability, whether that be throughout the Morgantown community or to those in my hometown who find themselves in a similar position to the one that I was once in. I hope that as a PSA, I can become an advocate for all the amazing opportunities that WVU has to offer and promote some of the life changing experiences I’ve already had while here.

What did you learn from the PSA experience?

Through the PSA program, I enhanced my leadership skills and learned how to leverage them in a variety of situations. I also learned the importance of servant-leadership and how to occupy roles within a team that best help push missions forward. The community that this class has provided me will continue to benefit me through the remainder of my undergraduate career.
