Why did you choose WVU?

I chose WVU because the first time I visited I met with some engineering professors that were extremely helpful and immediately made me feel welcomed. In addition, WVU school had a great campus and atmosphere for its students.

What is your favorite Mountaineer memory?

My favorite Mountaineer memory so far was when WVU won their final basketball game of the season against Baylor in the 2019-2020 season.

Why did you want to become a PSA?

I wanted to become a PSA to be a leader for WVU. I want to be able to encourage potential students to come to this great school while also providing an environment of inclusivity and academic excellence for its current students.

What did you learn from the PSA experience?

I have learned a lot from the Presidential Student Ambassador program. My public speaking ability has improved greatly from the first speech to the last. I believe this is mostly due to my increased self-confidence from preparing so many speeches. I found the service hours very rewarding as well. I think they are an important part of the program. The cover letter and resume submissions were important and useful too. They provided free feedback on something I can use when applying to internships and jobs. The discussions with speakers were always interesting. They taught me to think from the perspectives of other students and people with different backgrounds from my own. My leadership abilities were also benefited greatly. I have become more confident in my decision making and comfortable making decisions not only for myself but the people around me if I am leading a group. Overall, the PSA program has been a great experience that I would recommend to any student at WVU.
