What is your favorite Mountaineer memory?
Storming the basketball court after we beat #1 ranked Baylor last year.
Why did you want to become a PSA?
To improve my public speaking, and for all of the many great opportunities it will provide me for my future.
What did you learn from the PSA experience?
The PSA experience is a very beneficial thing to anyone who gets the chance to embark on it. I certainly grew as a student but also as a person. I learned very valuable life skills and advice. I learned countless things about how to communicate a point and to get a job done. From a public speaking perspective, I learned not only how to be more comfortable when doing it, but how to be more effective and grab people’s attention when talking to them. We also got to do amazing things such as have conversations with President Gee. This was awesome not only st because we got to meet him, but we also were able to get his opinion on certain issues and gain an understanding about why the school does some of the different things it does. Finally, the community service hours we accumulated also a very cool experience I gained from the PSA process. This not only got me involved in the Morgantown community more, but it also taught me to communicate and talk with all different types of people. Overall, this experience was more than beneficial to me and taught me a lot about my strengths and weaknesses. I would strongly encourage anyone who gets the chance to embark on this journey.
