Choosing WVU Over Other Schools

President Gordon Gee and Dr. Carolyn Atkins congratulate 2018 WVU Foundation Scholars, Ashley Eby and Shamil Patel, on their presentations to the Irvin Stewart Society. Both students, highly recruited by other universities, discussed why they chose WVU. The Irvin Stewart Society, named for the University’s 13th president, honors those individuals whose gifts provide for the future of West Virginia University.
