Why did you choose WVU?

I chose WVU because the moment I stepped on campus I immediately felt at home. All of the students, faculty, and staff that I have had the honor of meeting have all been extremely welcoming. WVU has a strong sense of pride which makes everyone feel like they are part of the mountaineer family!

What is your favorite Mountaineer memory?

My favorite Mountaineer memory was seeing everyone sing country roads for the first time after our football win over Virginia Tech.  It was truly a moving moment watching thousands of people sing their hearts out to every single word.

Why did you want to become a PSA?

I have always sought ways to become more involved in my community all throughout my life.  The PSA program is a perfect opportunity to make an impact on those around me and be inspired by other fellow PSA’s as well.  I also am very passionate about setting a good example for my family, friends, and others classmates; therefore, the leadership aspect of the program appealed to me as well.  I know that this program will be extremely beneficial to me and my community and  I cannot wait to see how much I learn and grow as a leader and a person.

What did you learn from the PSA experience?

I can confidentially say that I would not be the person, student, or leader that I am today without the help of the President Student Ambassador program.  I have learned so much valuable information about leadership and service in such a short amount of time that it excites me to see how much more I will learn in the next three years here at West Virginia University.
